Cleaniliness and Attonement

Good Morning People of God,

We are still studying the book of Leviticus speaking of cleanliness and atonement:

  • The Book of Leviticus relating to the Levites is the third book of the Hebrew Bible and the third of five books of the Torah (Pentateuch).
  • In the book of Leviticus with sacrifice and priesthood it instructs the people on purity and cleanliness. Eating certain animals does produce uncleanliness.
  • If a person is stricken with certain sexual conditions or mildew conditions they are considered unclean.
  • A woman is considered to be unclean if she is on her cycle.
  • The days of atonement this the only day on which the high priest can enter to the holiest part of the sanctuary, the holy of hollies of which he will sacrifice particular animals.
  • Uncleanliness threatens holiness and various causes of rituals can restore cleanliness and cleanliness rituals must me maintained through observation of sexual behaviour, family relations, ownership, and sacrifices.
That is all today we will continue on tomorrow.
